I constantly hear people on the left claim that growing economic inequality leads to recessions and a myriad of other problems. If people on the left truly believe this, then shouldn't they insist that Obama's recovery was a failure?

Obama's recovery led to growing inequality in wealth, income, and even benefits between the top and bottom workers. Isn't Obama's recovery just leading us up to the next big crash? More inequality between whites and blacks.

How can someone cheer and clap when Obama brags about his recovery which saw growing inequality in income, growing inequality in benefits, and growing inequality in wealth --- and then also cheer Bernie or Hillary that claim that growing inequality causes future economic collapses among other problems?

If you truly believe that growing inequality leads to future economic problems, then you must admit that the recovery failed as it is merely setting us up for a likely future collapse no?

No, it did exactly what it was intended to do. Increase the inequality gap and put more people on Gov assistance. They use the inequality as a political hammer and use the latter as a voting bloc. It was ALL intended this way.

Income inequality- a measurement of the distribution of income that highlights the gap between individuals or households making most of the income in a given country and those making very little.
What is income inequality? definition and meaning - BusinessDictionary.com

Obama tried to pass the Buffet Rule which would have forced wealthy Americans to pay at least 30% federal tax rates (but republicans in congress blocked the law.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffett_Rule

Obama also tried to raise the min wage, give the middle class tax cuts, give small businesses tax cuts, give small businesses lending aid, lower credit card interest rates, lower student loan interest rates, give longer unemployment benefits, stop millions of Americans from loosing their homes from bank foreclosures, and reduce outsourcing potentially bringing millions of high paying jobs back to America.

All of the above actions would have reduced income inequality, but republicans in congress stopped all those laws from being passed.

Thank You GOP for damaging the Country as much as you could.
They have given us another 1trillion on the deficit. They are going around saying that subsidies for farmers are too high, Medicare needs to be cut, SS needs to be cut, healthcare needs to be put back to the old pre-ACA style, education too expensive, infracstrure not a priority. Oh and lets not forget Space Force starring DJT.

While the guy they elected runs around lying and showing ignorance.

President Obama got us out of the wars that Bush Jr started and was able to end the recession that was started by Bush Jr in regards to the housing bubble crash. The economy does not change overnight, Trump should thank Obama for handing him over an economy that was continuing to improve before Trump foolishly gave the richest Americans a huge tax cut.

I am not a (D) but I said for years that what Obama was doing was wrong. It lead to actual (D)'s in places like Philly and Detroit to stay home on election day as opposed to vote for more of it with Hillary.

This has already been noted here many times so I do not understand the need to people to ask the same question over and over and over again.

The inability to be truthful also contributed to Hillary's loss but just like repeating the same question over and over it seems many have not learned this lesson either.

I refused to vote for Obama in 2012 and Hillary in 2016 because of Obama's lies concerning war and Hillary's war mongering.

We never left Iraq. We are still there.

US will reduce troop levels in Iraq, Baghdad says

https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/06/middl...ntl/index.html

You can't reduce levels if they are no longer there.
