And it is just sad that you think comparing illegal abortion stats in 1972 to legal abortion stats in 1985 means ... anything. It doesn't. Apples and oranges. But everyone knows you will support anything a doctor does.
You were the one who introduced the 1972 stats, dearie. I compared legal abortion stats to illegal abortion stats in 1972, not to 1985. I then noted that there were more legal abortion related deaths than illegal deaths in 1985 because virtually all abortions by that time were legal and much safer. The number of deaths annually from illegal abortion in the US now approaches zero, because abortion is legal and done by licensed providers under sanitary conditions.
Gosnell was not trained to do abortions, should not have been doing them, and was allowed to get away with what he was doing for far too long because the people who should have put him out of business did not do so.
"Everyone" who thinks I "will support anything a doctor does" is wrong. I certainly do not, and I would be happy for you to link to anything I have posted on CD that would support that opinion. I certainly do not support Gosnell, and I never said I do. He is a nasty piece of work, but he is not representative of the entire group of people who provide abortion services.
Gosnell was once a law-abiding physician as well. He went off the deep end at some point doing abortions. No one took notice since he was aborting poor women/girls babies. Let's learn from it so it won't happen again. That is what the tie is.
If you do not want it to happen again abortion should remain a legal, regulated procedure.
If you want to give the green light to any future Gosnells out there, make abortion illegal so the procedure will be driven underground where there will be no regulations at all.
Sad to see you support the latter.
On the other hand, men like Gosnell will thank you for sending desperate women into their welcoming arms.
In October of this year, GOSNELL: THE TRIAL OF AMERICA’S BIGGEST SERIAL KILLER will open in just shy of 1,000 theaters across the U.S. The movie dramatically portrays the recent events of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, nicknamed “the abortion doctor.” Gosnell was found guilty in 2013 of three accounts of first-degree murder and one account of involuntary manslaughter of an adult patient. Filmmakers of GOSNELL hope to shed light on the real-life events and educate audiences about the evils Dr. Gosnell committed.

It was legal when Gosnell did what he did.

I do NOT recall anyone killing born babies pre-rvw
Really? The number of babies found in dumpsters is just the tip of the iceberg, imagine how many were never found.
I remember watching a program where they found several late-term and newborns mummified in old suitcases in an old house that was being demolished. They dated them as being from the 1940's.
Now, imagine how many were never found, buried or thrown in a river, etc.
Getting rid of an unwanted pregnancy or newborn isn't exactly something a person would report to authorities so it could be counted.
