As far as "back alley" abortions deaths, numbers are inflated, and most deaths were from a lack of antibiotics. After antibiotics were in regular use the number of deaths plummeted, just like every other death rate.
Deaths from abortion in 1972 per the CDC:
24 were related to a legally induced abortion
39 were related to an illegal abortion
You were more likely to die from a LEGAL abortion in 1972.
This myth of millions of women dying every year from "back alley" abortions is just that: A MYTH.
Interesting to see you run with my argument from a few weeks ago and I'm glad someone noted but keep it factual. No one argued that "millions of women died every year".

Why would someone wait that long into a pregnancy? The only person I’ve heard tell of a late term had it in a hospital with anesthesia for herself and the unborn, profoundly deformed fetus. The kid would not have survived more than a couple miserable hours outside the womb.

Which really is irrelevant. I do not believe I know anyone personally that has killed someone else.
And here comes the Trump supporter's attempt to make abortion illegal. Bring on the coat hangers, a Gosnell movie brought right when they want to nominate a Supreme Court Justice who will overturn abortion. Who would have predicted this? Bull****. I've grown tired of the inflammatory abortion nonsense that Janelle posts all the damn time. Gosnell's clinic was a horror show, and the case was shocking, but his clinic was nothing like most clinics. I had an abortion at 21 weeks because of nonviability due to profound fetal defect, a story I've told many times at C-D. My experience was nothing like Janelle pretends every abortion must be. Not only was the staff professional, well-trained, and compassionate, but the facility was immaculate. I'm the daughter of an OB. I know the difference. Gosnell is in prison as he should be, but he is not the poster child of abortion providers.
Exactly. No one here is arguing that Gosnell wasn't a monster. He was, and we all acknowledge it.
But Janelle doesn't truly care about Gosnell. Heck, she even stated a few pages into this thread that she doesn't want to even discuss him.
This is just the weekly, "Janelle wants to force every pregnant woman to give birth against their will" thread.
Forcing women to give birth against their will is her one true passion in life. I'm sure she'll be sitting in the theater, popcorn in one hand, soda in the other, all excited and eager to watch this film. It will be a very pleasurable night out for her, I'm sure.
