The house votes on non binding resolution for subpoena of documents to DOJ giving them 7 days to produce.

The vote did pass and a link should be available shortly. Most likely it was a vote along parthy lines.

Apparently its a first step that could lead to contempt of congress and then to impeachment of DAG Rosenstein.

A bit of info. on a non binding resolution.

Amazing that Republicans spent SIX YEARS investigating Clinton and charged him with nothing to do with Whitewater. Now they want to end the investigation into a Republican president as fast as possible.

It's still ridiculous just how slow they are though.

House passes measure demanding DOJ documents

The House on Thursday passed a resolution demanding the Department of Justice (DOJ) hand over sensitive documents, in the process delivering a final warning shot to senior officials before conservatives move ahead with more aggressive action against the department.

In a 226-183 vote, lawmakers approved the messaging measure, which calls on the DOJ to turn over all of the documents House Republicans have requested related to the FBI's handling of investigations during the 2016 presidential election.

Oh no, no...please proceed with your "investigation", and be sure everyone involved swears under oath that they have no reservations about anything contained in whatever reports and/or indictments they produce.

Meanwhile...

Rosenstein is a slippery one. He never misses a chance to past the buck, yet he is the top of the food chain at the DOJ and relevant investigations.

Wonderful, we have one branch of government attempting to undermine another branch of government. This is why I’m glad I live close to a border. This undermines the purposes of the three branches of government as defined by the Constitution. Congress is NOT the judicial branch and they need to back off and learn how to do their own jobs within the capacity of the Constitution.
