Professional climatologists, being the simpletons they are, never took the urban heat island into account. Now, thanks to the sophisticated people on the internet, climatologists are now looking into the problem for the first time.

Still a what if game. I don’t play that game. Not worried.

I am not worried, too.

I have had, and still have, an interest in science since the 1970s. However, I know that many predictions by scientists have been way off.

Here is an example. This book is from 1979.

Are you serious? Psychics such as Edgar Cayce? You actually think this is science???

Yes there were some sensors that experienced development and increased pavement, many were placed near airports for practical reasons where pavement has not changed much over time. There has also been adjustments made for urban centers but to discount readings of thousands of sensors because some have been impacted by development doesn't add up.

People like Anthony Watt will take a few sensors in an attempt to dismiss the entire case for rising temperature, besides are we really still questioning whether temperatures are rising. The evidence is completely overwhelming that the earth is warming, glaciers melting, coral reefs dying, polar ice shelves melting, sea level rise, increased storm intensity.

No need to even look at a sensor.

Debauched.

You don't seem to realize that climate science is a debauched field. It is run by parasitic and non-productive human beings who feed at the suckling teet of state-provided grant money. Armageddonism rules and it's publish or perish. A scientist is someone who relentlessly and diligently pursues truth. A climate scientist is basically a welfare queen. A climate scientist is not a scientist at all, and should not be respected in today's environment. A climate scientist in 2018 is a political scientist. Debauched.

The problem with this is that valid climate science will not be able to be distinguished from fake news climate science for quite some time.

Therefore, the only path open to those who value freedom is to obstruct to the greatest degree possible, and point out that climate scientists are not real scientists..

Debauched. The field is debauched. It's tragic really.

LOL. I read that book back in the 1980s. I think I may still have it around here, somewhere.

Regarding the sensors, temperatures are often measured by satellites these days, i.e. without sensors on the ground. Satellites can measure temps across huge areas, which would be impossible with sensors.

So you have a double standard: all scientists seek truth except for climate scientists (for some unknown reason).

Why trust any scientist, then? Couldn’t all of them be welfare queens who live off the government?
