Donald Trump is a PACIFIST President. He is about making deals with other countries. He is not going to start any wars, unless as a very last resort and there is no choice.
It's not surprising Trump is itching to start a war somewhere. Wars are commonly used by fascist leaders to strengthen their grip on power. Using external boogeymen, whether it's immigrants or foreign armies, keeps the public focused away from the administration's problems at home.
So nearly half way through Trump's presidency there are no new theaters of war, and one peace accord in North Korea. Meanwhile under Obama , the Nobel Peace prize winner, we had theaters opening up in Yemen, Libya, Syria and Ukraine.
So the game is to make up what he could do in the minds of the Trump derangement mob that laps up the corporatist MSM propaganda. There is nothing he has actually done to run against I suppose....
Uh yeah he said it in the misguided idea that we could nation build. Of course in that case it actually is a humanitarian crisis . However the problem is it would likely see them shooting back and confirming the regime's propaganda that the US planned to invade all along. However I am not as worried given the Israeli lobby does care about this region of the world.
This comes as absolutely no surprise whatsoever. I am 100 percent certain that Trump will start an unnecessary war sooner or later to flatter his own ego.

People need to get a clue.

With all due respect your knowledge of recent history needs some refreshing. Yemen, Libya, and Syria all predated Obama and were outgrowths of W.'s actions. (I will, however, not defend Obama's actions in Libya regarding Gaddafi) Yemen and Syria are still theaters of war under Trump. Apparently you have already forgotten the servicemen that were killed when Trump ordered an ill advised military operation in Yemen. Where is the Congressional investigation into that fiasco?

Probably an oversimplification. but the outcome of the efforts of most Presidents between Truman and Bush I (weakling Carter was the exception) was to develop an open-market-driven, capitalist-and-proud-of-it hegemony to which any nation, or value system respecting the basic human rights of life, liberty, property and free enterprise is welcome.
And the only challenge left is to allow the forces of free exchange -- of opinion as well as economic goods -- to spread that standard across the entire planet; to make the North American success story into a model for a global success story.
Which is precisely why Marxists, Nazis and SJWs aren't welcome.

He has started a trade war with his allies. He did not do this as a last resort or because he had no choice. He did this because he believes that trade wars are good and easy to win.
