cognitive dissonance and they are jealous of our consistency
Oh, I know it.
That's the biggest problem facing them. We aren't all bearded naturists living in the woods talking to chipmunks.
We pay taxes. We don't commit aggression. We have families we love and care for. We don't break laws...the ones with no victims anyway. We simply live and let live.
When they start to realize that they can't write us off as a figment of their imagination of what we should be like (Ted K.) then it's harder to defend their position of violence and anti-freedom.
They're heroes for not paying taxes. They're thieves for using things for which they are not paying.
You start off with some decent points and then off the cliff you go. You can not live in this world and not use what others pay for unless you want to go off into the wilderness which you can do now. No one is stopping you.
I've seen no evidence those agents will shoot unless fired upon. If you've got any let's see it.
If you're defending your property you have the right to use violent force if necessary.
But here's some evidence anyway:

The FBI sniper who shot and killed Vicki Weaver, the wife of white separatist Randy Weaver, in the 1992 siege at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, was charged with manslaughter yesterday just before the five-year statute of limitations would have foreclosed criminal prosecution...
...The FBI sniper, Lon Horiuchi, killed Vicki Weaver on Aug. 22, 1992, as she was standing in the doorway of the family cabin in northern Idaho, holding her baby daughter. Horiuchi said he was aiming at Harris, who was fleeing into the house from the sniper's first shot, and did not see Vicki Weaver.
Horiuchi was charged with involuntary manslaughter by use of a firearm in a reckless, careless or negligent manner. Woodbury said he fired the fatal shot through the front door "without first determining whether any person other than his intended target was behind the door."

Well in America, he has the presumption of innocence but where does the Constitution guarantee him the right to be left alone? It only gives him the right to face his accuser and defend himself in a court of law. If that makes you feel oppressed, you have the right to leave.
Or, in your world, suppose your wife came home and said she was raped by a specific man, if he claimed innocence would you argue he should be left alone or would you demand he be tried?
