I thought Trump was a blowhard and braggart and I still do. However, I have a lot more respect for his actual capabilities than I did before.

It’s like I’d rather have a rude surgeon that was good at his work, than a bad one with better bedside manner.

I am very heartened by his willingness to affect change; see a problem, fix a problem. I sit back in amusement and watch how he upsets the status quo.

It is really too soon to tell whether he will go down in history as successful, or not.

^^ common sense post.

OP, the presidency is not a personality popularity contest. Obama had the personality but was divisive and moved the country too far left, he didn't do much for the people. The media, consisting of people who make multimillion a year, like him so they did a good job of selling him to you. The media and Hollywood can take a plain Joe and make him into a heartthrob .. it's all about making money.

Trump doesn't have the personality, the media doesn't like him, but my wallet is happy with what he has done so far. I'll go with my what my wallet says.

I don't know if Trump will go down in history as successful but when he meets with Putin he will go down.

We have all been fed a bill of goods on Putin and Russia. Trump is not intimidated by Putin, and my money’s on Trump.

As I said, one minute they accuse him of being too soft, the next going to cause a war, then next too soft.

Trump Derangement Syndrome

No, the problem is Trump is deranged. HE is the one swinging from one extreme to the other, depending on whose opinion he last heard. His job is to guide the country down a chosen course, not to tweet his every thought, and change policy multiple times a week.

It would be better, even if I disagreed with a stance, to stay consistent.

Yeah, and I've got a bridge to sell you. A big bridge. A beautiful bridge. The best bridge.

From living in NY State, I knew he was just a big mouth, braggart and generally a jerk.

Trump is still pulling up the rear - rated by historians and POTUS scholars as the worst in history, right behind Buchannan and Harding.

It takes a lot of work to be that bad.

He will never break out of the bottom 10%. The die is cast.
