We don't fix the ills of society by taking away the rights of ANY group...even the majority group. When will people get that?
Actually Men are the minority. But, I agree with you. I don't want to have the big "V" either, but I would not try to coerce my GF/Wife to have a procedure she didn't want either.
Haplotypes are not a color/race....(i.e. white/black/Asian,etc.)
I am black and have cousins who are a R1a haplotype and they are dark skinned people and would never be classified sociologically as "white." They just have a very distant ancestors from that haplogroup who was European.
Note I do a lot of genealogical research and participate in genealogical forums for my ancestral surnames and many of my distant "white" male cousins have an A1a haplogroup from Africa due to our family on one line being the result of a coupling between an indigenous woman and a African indentured servant in the 1600s.
Too many people get offended all the time today. And honestly I do agree with this writer and other black writers that many white people, such as yourself, get very bothered when black people say something negative about a specific white individual or a specific group of white people because you are not used to hearing any criticism of white people until the rise of the internet. Other than the colorful language, black people have always had these thoughts and written the things as what is shown by the Root's author. It is not new, just like white supremacy isn't new for black people. You all just didn't pay attention to black media before because it wasn't in your face unless you sought it out.
I get "very bothered" when the actions of a few are railed against by people pointing to their race instead of the person's actions.
I don't give a rip if its a white person, black person, Indian, etc. Judge the person for their actions, not their skin color. How difficult is that to understand?
I can’t even figure out what this means. Should I be outraged?
No, it means that race nor ethnicity has anything to do with arrogant and ignorant attitudes
Yoga is a athletic pursuit shared by many...not just one ethnic group. Certain types of yoga are pursued for their relaxation and restorative qualities.
Why would you be outraged anyway? It is difficult to correctly ascertain the tone and tenor of internet postings unless they are point blank sarcastic.
