Thats such a joke. Largest part of Wall Street is held by the working class? Is that really what you are trying to convince people with? The top 10% own over 80% of the stock market! Wall Street and the billionaire class are the ones who write these trade deals. The working class has no say in any of this. Sure, lets rewrite those trade deals, but lets make it fair for workers.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Other presidents didn't care because the difference is paid by debt. Now that trump is giving so much money to his rich friends debt will increase a lot more. He wants to make it up by decreasing the deficit. Of course, a lot of people are going to lose their jobs, specially those selling chinese junk.

I just watched the news. If the trade war gets really bad china might begin to break copyright laws and start selling more american-brand goods. The u.s. is breaking trade laws, china could care even less now about copyrights.

IMHO it's all political posturing by Trump, amping up his base for the midterm elections. When China initially offered concessions to the US, Trump was likely taken aback that his efforts could be too easily forgotten in such a short press cycle. So he upped the ante.

So here we are. Trump has found another issue that resonates well with his base. I think Trump will negotiate something and wind down most of the tariffs. He will declare multiple victories and claim he has demonstrated he's the best of the best when it comes to negotiating trade deals.

As for Putin, Trump will likely press Putin to pump more oil to help lower gas prices in the US before the midterms... in exchange for something we're likely never to know. Again Trump can claim he's been right about Russia all the time and that Putin is helping to lower your gas bill.

Who said Trump wasn't just another politician. This man's finger is forever testing the political winds.

So how about ivanka move her clothing line to the US to be manufactured. Made in China means products are cheaper because labor is cheaper. And you don’t have to pay for their healthcare or any other benefits. Trump is a narcissistic who thinks everyone will bow down and give into him. He’s going to be embarrassed by a rude awakening though. These countries will stand their ground and trump is just going to hurt our country in the long run.

You do realise that Trump declared corporate bankruptcy no less than six times? And yet you accuse president Obama of having "no clue" about finance!

Where's Trump tax return? you know the tax return he said he would reveal if he became president, or was that just more of the same old bull crap from a pathological liar?

He is not the only president to mention it but he is the first to try and repair a Swiss watch with a sledge hammer.

In some countries if they have to pay an additional 20% tax because they bought outside their country at the same time we can bring products into our country and pay a lot less, this hurts you, the employee because it's cheaper to buy from them, they can employ more people too. It encourages their citizen to keep business inside their country. It makes it harder for us to compete globally
That really does not explain he "piggy bank" claim.

Like I said TPP was designed to deal with this issue, but it did not seem like Trump understood that.

Traditionally conservatives have supported free trade, but now they are compelled to support government getting involved in it instead. So much for principles.

What did you not like about TPP, other than that fact that would have removed the tariffs you claim to hate. No, Hillary did not support it, and Sanders supported Trump nixing it. You are in their camp.
