Well if you are going to suggest that other Presidents insisted on off the record meetings with world leaders, you have to at least provide one example.

Here's the issue - it would be difficult and very controversial for any Presidential administration to arrange a 'nefarious' meeting with a brutal dictator. The risk not worth it.

But this meeting was arranged on the premise of the two countries working together. Not about reuniting lost loves.

It is official, it should be recorded as official.

There is no good reason to take it off the books -- so to speak.

None at all.

And the fact folks are doing handstands and cartwheels to justify it -- shows how blinded by the kool-aid folks are.

It's okay to admit you support Trump, you appreciate his efforts to try and get world peace with some of the most brutal dictators of our time and still say it is absolutely inappropriate for him to meet with one of these leaders 'in private'.

Well if that doesn't look fishy -- I don't know what does -- lol.

How is this okay?

Why would Trump want to meet privately with Vladimir Putin? | MSNBC

Donald Trump is seeking assurance from Vladimir Putin that he will assist in the 2018 Mid-term election and the 2020 Presidential election.

Can you tell us what obama and castro had for dinner? They did sit down and have dinner, you know that right...do you think they talked about grandchildren?

"And we had a great dinner," he added, according to the pool reporter.

They first shook hands last April at a summit meeting in Panama before meeting again on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in September.

Why did they meet on the sidelines?

Rep and bump.

I d rather see the confidence of feet on the desk rather than a disheveled con man with a ridiculously long tie.
He looks the cross between an old vaudvillian and a tin pan flim flam man.

Trump has had decades of dealing with Putin to gauge intentions, lol.

- Wrong. You're the one trying to make this seem egregious. It's on you to prove it is. We can see from the link you provided that Trump likes to meet with world leaders 1 on 1 prior to "opening the room", so your own link shows it's not unusual for him at all & isn't unique to Russia.

- Says you, an amateur who knows nothing about meeting with world leaders & who has such an obvious anti-Trump bias that it's clear you want this to be an issue, not that it is an issue. No one trusts your opinion.
