True. Not only do democrats want to let everyone in, they're actually willing to waste our money to ship them here.

What exactly about our immigration system is "broken"?

Except of course, that previous administrations didn't want to actually enforce our immigration laws in any meaningful way.

But now Trump wants to actually enforce our borders and suddenly our system is "broken" ......

And if you're not for "open borders" then it would mean that you would endorse close borders ?

So if you endorse closed borders then logically speaking you would be okay with a border wall.

So which is it.....?

Open or closed?

A border is like a door, it's either open or closed. When you can get caught crossing the border, given a trial date you'll never show up to, and live in a sanctuary city where immigration laws won't be enforced and your representative in congress calls for abolishing ICE then does the border even matter?

Yeah all good points that MUST be adressed. But I think a border is more complex than a door.

IMO:
we definitely do NOT have open borders now
And
NO Politicians are calling for an "open" border.

That's just a fact...

We do have a serious problem with illegal labor and anything short of an Israeli style wall wont dent the problem and even that won't stop illegal labor,

A border wall is propaganda unless you man it with snipers and 24/7 guards

Otherwise make it a felony to hire an illegal and all the problems are solved overnight without a silly wall.

"build a wall.... build a wall"

Propaganda

I don't think Trump wants to enforce the law

he wants to spend a whole bunch of tax money knowing it won't affect all his illegal labor working in Mar a Lago, they will get past your silly wall quickly.

It's just a good propaganda piece that gets people riled up and willing to vote for his corporate takeover of America... unwittingly at least.

Notice he never suggests we go after the people who hire illegal labor!

You'd be wrong then and there is no proof that Trump knowingly had any illegals working for him. He had e-verify in his 2018 budget, so you were saying? It was voted down by the Democrats last time and I expect the same this time around. He also reinstituted the raids on businesses of which Obama stopped during his term.

The 700 mile long wall along the most porous areas of our border already approved by congress back in 2006 but not funded nor built and is not a silly wall. Where those types of double layered walls have already been erected on shorter sections of the border they have cut back illegal immigration in those areas immensely.

The only propaganda being spread here is by you and your fellow liberal lefties who are fighting any enforcement of our immigration laws.

The only people I've encountered (both in real life and online) who legitimately want an "open border" are libertarians. And they usually characterize themselves as "more right than left".

Oh yes e-verify... so basically what happens is they hire a couple legal Hombres

Then THESE legal hombres hire dozens and dozens of subcontracted illegals who work under them as sub sub contractors.

That's how the whole subcontracting scam works

you see without a strong government and good regulations there's always a way to slip illegals in the labor market. You're never going to stop illegals from coming to this country as long as you allow employers to Sub Sub sub contract out all this labor

So if you really really want to go ahead and build the Coast to Coast wall, it won't work.

you can build an Israeli style wall with snipers and landmines and constant patrols on all-terrain vehicles and don't forget the ocean you'll need lots of people patrolling the ocean on both sides...

Shucks I'll sign up it, sounds like a cool government Job...

. you know the kind that has modest pay but good benefits and lots of advancement opportunities + security so you do things like invest in your neighborhood and buy a house instead of rent

wait a minute.... you sound like a
Libertarian/conservative....you probably want to PRIVATIZE the border patrol so you can subcontract it out huh?

I'm still waiting for somebody to give me a name and date were a serious politician got up in front of a room full of people and suggested we actually have a truly open border between America and Mexico

never has happened and it never will happen

Pure propaganda
