The first thing the conservative majority will do will be to ensure that all restrictions on campaign finance are eliminated. Meaning; a person can hand over a billion dollars to the candidates of his or her choice, give them a script and they are now working for that billionaire in Congress. And it will of course be completely anonymous. The working class doesnt stand a chance against this financial power.
the hypocrisy of this statement is just staggering. the left has just as much big money (if not more) and does nothing whatsoever to curb its influence. period.

The ironic part is that those that can least afford this to happen are the same people that demanded a SCOTUS that would rule against their own interests, in favor of corporate "super citizens".
Every marginalized group will suffer due to this unfortunately. This is why Democrats NEED TO FIGHT and do whatever is humanly possible to block this.
Obama got two confirmed; Kagan and Sotomayor. Carter is the only recent president that got no picks on the SCOTUS but he did get an awful lot on the Circuit courts.

I disagree with conservatives in many ways, but I appreciate that your beliefs are based in what benefits all Americans, rather than on punishing liberals.

Nope. They'll either pack the court, or just eliminate it altogether (my favored option.) Mark my words - it will happen.
