Racism is the vile and scientifically baseless theory that there are different "races" of humans.
Anyone who believes this outrageous falsehood, or behaves as if they do, is a racist.
That applies to everyone equally, regardless of their skin color or their political preferences. Also, anyone who believes that some people are exempt from being racists, based on their "race," is very certainly a racist.
This is quite a poor definition.

We hear people accused of racism all the time now, but what is really meant by it?
As far as I know, racism began as a theory that some races are more highly evolved than others. The theory was developed by white Europeans, who decided they were superior to non-whites. The idea was based on evolution theory.
You're gonna blame it on Darwin? There was no racism before he became famous in the mid 19th century?

On the one hand, There is no doubt different "races" have different traits, "statistically speaking". The traits are genetically determined, to some extent.
On the other hand, whether the difference determines "superiority" is socially structured.
Why is black rates of poverty nearly 3 times that of whites then? Anticipating your answer, why are there more single black households than whites. Anticipating your answer, why did welfare impact blacks more than white? Anticipating your answer....etc, etc.
Explain the evolution of the condition of inequality.
It is hard to conceive that a population that is mostly descended from slaves will have no problems at all fitting into mainstream society in future generations.

The idea that we are divided into different races based on variances in our skin pigmentation is patently absurd. There is only one race, the human race.

Your reasoning is as silly as pointing out the people who came out the Twin Towers alive and well in order to downplay the role of terrorism in taking the lives of those who perished when the building was attacked.
