Truth in Politics

These are things folks on both sides of the aisle seem to believe –

Protesters are getting paid to protest, but only if they are protesting something or someone you agree with. This doesn't make sense, because the same person who makes this point then argues with people protesting. If they're only getting paid to protest the opposing viewpoint, why argue?

The other side are also brainwashed. Oh, and they are ignorant. Why? Because they have a different opinion.

You are a snowflake if you do not serve someone in a retail establishment because of their politics. But it's OK not to serve someone you don't agree with. I know this sounds like it doesn't make sense, but some people do believe both of these statements. And, no, it doesn't make sense.

But, frankly, what sense does it make for a person or business not to serve prospective customers?

Civility in politics only matters when you think your side is being treated unfairly. It also does not apply to Twitter or when you're speaking at a “rally.”

You misunderstood my post. I'm not saying there are paid protestors.
