The idea that McConnell or Miller or anyone else can pull whatever vile moves they want and avoid being called out for them in public is naive at best.

Those days are long gone.

It may have started with Trump accusing Obama of being a liar about where he was born, then progressed through insulting everyone from McCain on, falsely accusing Obama of wiretapping him, hinting about "Second Amendment" solutions to Clinton appointing a SCJ, ...

The days of civility and political correctness are but a distant memory these days.

Technology allows for flash mobs to be assembled within a few minutes. The days of eating out in peace are over.

It might be better if McConnell and his crowd ordered out under fake names.

Hell, they had an actual cartoon on TV called "Lil' Bush".

That's politics for you.

If you want to protest at their offices, in front of the capital bldg. or at the park across from their house then so be it but these encouraged public situations are over the line and frankly I'm afraid they're going to lead to violence like the softball practice incident and I don't want to see the right-wing start returning the favor.
No. It will just lead to more fleecing of taxpayors by Trump , by giving them 1.5 million dollars in extra Security.

Well, she's a public official too (Secretary of Transportation) so she's also subject to the same.

So, you're good with this if people start doing it to democrats? Or are you then going to invoke some sort of clause that "well the democrats don't deserve it because they're the good guys."?

I'm not talking about political sniping via twitter or the media but physically storming restaurants to confront them with flash mobs.

The fact that this sort of crap keeps happening is making Democrats look terrible. The fact that Democratic leaders like Maxine Waters have actually called for more and more of it stands a very good chance of killing any blue wave for the Dems.

The vast majority of Americans have no taste for such behavior and will enthusiastically vote against it. Saying rude things on TV or Twitter is one thing. Actively disrupting people's everyday lives is taking things to a whole new level.

He’s in hiding. Don’t know why.

The Democrats need him now more than ever, and he’s AWOL.
