The GOP is poised to pick up seats in the House and the Senate in the upcoming elections, and when Trump sweeps the country in 2020, I have little doubt that both the House and Senate will have a super-majority of Republicans (60% +) By 2024, the Supreme Court will be 7-2, locking out the liberal side for a generation.

I'm not saying this because I'm a screaming red-state Republican - far from it. However, I realize that the Democratic Party does NOT represent the American people. They're a bunch of elitists who like to lord it over the commoners with their "I know best" ideology. Take Obamacare for instance. They said that everyone needed to buy insurance to keep rates down. Ha ha! They didn't fool me then, and I'm sorry that this country got sucked into that tar pit. I saw it coming a mile away way back then.

And don't get me started on this global warming tripe. The American people are sick and tired of hearing about this "climate change" which may or may not mess things up in the future, like way in the future when 95% of humans alive today will be long gone. If the Dems had their way, we'd be playing $10 a gallon for gas and $500 a month for power to make carbon reduction targets which would give other countries like China and India a free pass to Co2 all they want.. Well, the American people said "no way" and elected Trump and his fellow Republicans. And we're about to elect a who lot more of them in the years ahead.

UNLESS... a new party rises out of the ashes of the old Democratic Party. A party which actually cares about what the American people want. Yes, we want our health care, but we want what we can ~afford.~ We want our government services and education, but it needs to be done in respect to our wallets and pocketbooks - we're not all millionaires, ya know. And this new party needs to totally, and I do mean totally, ditch the idea of mitigating climate change. The climate's a-changing and guess what, there's absolutely nothing we can do about it! So give it up already - I'm 1000% serious about it. Oh, it might be a good idea to show a modicum of support for things like Social Security, which enjoys an 80% popularity rating. I could go on, but you get the idea.

Until then, it's Trump and the G-O-P all the way.

Y grandfather was a logger, self-taught diesel mechanic who was a staunch Democrat who was active in the Wobblies in the 1930s and 1940s. He was also one of the few of his generation who was against the Vietnam war. He was my hero. Today, I am more conservative, less liberal. There is no party for my beliefs. I didn’t vote for either candidate in the last election.

I am an environmentalist so am pro nature. And, here is is where I disagree with liberals: no immigration, legal or illegal because we have too many people. And, refugees do not need to come here, they can go to the nearest country or stay to rebuild. I don’t want a wall as it impedes free flow of wildlife but I want strong borders, I want ICE and I do not favor amnesty. I am pro gun but not assault weapons, don’t care about who marries who, just don’t put it in my face. But, I think 3 bathrooms is seriously BS.

I am for social safety nets but not generational welfare. I despise what the SJWs and homeless advocates have done to the west coast. And, I believe in equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. No to affirmative action but do not agree with discrimination.

I think we need more national monuments and public lands, not less. Just look at how crowded the most popular national parks are.

I could go on but these are what I stand for. No party for me.

sure, when the haters look at truly biased poll numbers, and dont look at the raw data, which is rarely published

Yes, damn the media for covering every inane thing Trump says or does or tweets instead of reporting the fantasyland "reality" the cult wants it to report.

let get real here, the left wing media does report on what trump does, but they pretty much always put a negative spin on things, and you know it.

Why are you concerned about the Dems? The Republican party is shrinking. Trump has accelerated the exodus.

Good luck finding that, but it would be a noble goal.

There are fiscally conservative and socially liberal Democrats, but they are not numerous enough to dominate the party. They are essentially a faction which votes with the rest of the Democrats on some issues and with the Republicans on others.

We could fix this with a parliamentary system, where smaller parties could build different coalitions by the issues instead of larger parties which must make internal compromises and thereby suppress certain positions out of necessity.

Troll thread. They are projecting their problems again.

Every one knows that the Trump party (GOP) will destroy itself in the next election.

I couldn't care less about same sex marriage, and I want abortion legal up to a certain point then illegal unless the life of the mother is endangered.

I don’t want open borders, but spending 25B for the Wall is dumb. People should be allowed to seek asylum, if you aren’t coming to asylum points you should be deported. We should enact everify and ENFORCE the fines and punish employers.

We should track down folks who overstay visas because they are getting a free pass.

The tax cut would’ve been great but most if it didn’t benefit the People who needed it most.
"Socially liberal but fiscally conservative"
everyone and their mother claims this. I hear it all the time, from both Democrats and Republicans.
If a political party formed under this message or one of the current parties steered this way, I think we have a game changer. I am guessing right now the Libertarian party is the closest thing to this. I could be wrong, honestly I don't look into 3rd parties.

I hate to be a party pooper...but the democratic party has moved so far to the left it isn't the democratic party we knew ever five years ago. The socialist movement is/has taking it over.
