Why shouldn't the US start to pull back some? Reduce our military bases in NATO countries to cut back our own spending. The EU is bigger than Russia...about 10 times the GDP and about 4 times the population. Let the EU protect themselves from Russia.
The US has decided that it wants to spend twice as much per capita on military spending than any other country in the world.
The EU already carries it's weight at lower levels of spending and still outspends Russia and China combined.

Military Spending as a Percent of World Total

40.1% United States
16.6% NATO (excluding USA)
15.4% European Union
9.4% China
3.5% Saudi Arabia
2.9% India
2.9% Russia
2.7% Japan
2.5% South Korea
1.8% Brazil
1.6% Australia
1.2% Israel
0.9% United Arab Emirates
0.8% Colombia
0.7% Afghanistan
0.7% Taiwan
0.7% Algeria
0.6% Singapore
0.5% North Korea

The art of the deal?

How times has Trump declared bankruptcy?
How many times has he been sued?
How many attorney generals sued him for fraud?
How many business failures has he had?

Spoke like someone who has zero accurate perception of large companies.

I guess you also forgot that we are the only nation that ever called on NATO for mutual defense.

Who is "we" exactly?

I only perceive supporters of the United States and its elected President, and histrionic open-borders anti-national commies who are trying to subvert an election.

There isn't much "we" there to speak of. There is only a nation and its enemies.

You're forgetting that many US corporations derive a major portion of their revenue and profits from European operations? We don't just defend Europe for Europe, we do it for own interests too.

Finally, a president who fights for American interests.

If "defending Europe" means flooding Germany with Africans so as to permanently weaken its industrial output and thus prohibit its turn toward Russia, then "defending Europe" isn't so much defending it as it is destroying it.

There is evidence that both Russia and China downplay their spending.

Then NATO countries shouldn't have agreed to spend 2% of their GDP on the military. If they can't honor the commitment that they freely made, then your stats are good reason to pull of military bases across NATO.

We created NATO after WWII so there wasn't a WWIII . Keeping our European alllies safe keeps us safe.

Russia hates Nato

Our senate voted 97 for and 2 against our alliance with Nato just yesterday.

Trump is making Putin a happy man.

Probably about as many times as any other similar business.

I don't know, how many times?

Far less that the ones that have been successful.
