I just saw the video on the news. The woman was so mellow and polite, she nicely asked him to leave her alone (and that was AFTER she answered his insulting and totally idiotic question are you a citizen?) She was so undeserving of this d*ck's ire. The cop could have, at minimum, told the guy to move on. He didn't seem like he was serving or protecting.
I don't understand why a comment like that is necessary.
Somebody asked why many people don't realize that Puerto Ricans are American citizens. It's because that's not what they usually purport themselves to be. You wouldn't know that they had anything to do with the United States.
Their citizenship is more of a legal technicality, it's not part of their identity.
