Gee, I don't know, what about when Reagan said "Facts are stupid things"? Did conservatives take that to heart or are they just hypocritical enough to think only their own should be allowed to mis-speak with no mention of it?

Is this a new record? All of 7 posts before whataboutism comes running in. I figured it would have shown up by 2 or 3 tops.

Oh but he is, he said Ireland, NOT Northern Island.

Gee, they're good judges of character AND they make Guinness! No wonder I've had such a good time in Irish Pubs.

Kind of like 57 States?
(And still "One to go!")

At least Ireland now knows how half of Americans feel about him - embarrassed as hell.

Hysterical that Trump says stupid things day in and day out but the Trumplings keep repeating the 57 states thing - I guess that's the ONLY time they can find that Obama made a mistake? lol

Never mind that it's clear in context that he simply misspoke because he also talked about his staff not letting him go to Alaska and Hawaii and that he started to say 50 states, was trying to correct it to 47 out of the continental 48 and it came out 57 instead of 48.

If you have half a brain or pay attention to what goes on in the world you would know better. Ireland (Republic of) has been an independent nation since before Trump was born. There is a big issue over Brexit because of the land boundary between No. Ireland and Ireland. It's not like it was part of UK last year or the year before. He seems to have a pretty firm idea on Putin's invasion of Crimea: "Crimea is part of Russia because everyone who lives there speaks Russian." By that warped logic we are part of UK, too, and Mexico is part of Spain and Quebec is French.
