The middle class has long since departed San Francisco. And when that happens, you end up with a bunch of 1%ters in their gentrified places, and a vast underclass being supported by the scraps.
Any 3rd world capital city is like this.

Nothing like a city with with a median home price of $1.6 million dollars .. yet you can’t walk on the streets without stepping in human poo. Only in a liberal city can one pay so much for such a low quality of life ..

We have a feces problem here in Seattle as well. They have started power-washing the street just outside the King County(Seattle) courthouse 3 times per week.
Don't lefties realize this is not environmentally-friendly? It all goes down the storm drain to the fishies. Or is it all-natural and therefore ok?
I do not support any of these. honestly, if the homeless dont want to fix their lives I dont want my tax money to help them. I honestly believe we should just make a empty few miles of land, drop some little concrete facilities there, and let them bum it out away from civilization. England had the right idea with Australia. Dont see why we should be paying for other peoples messed up lives. I dont support any drug rehab facilities the slightest. They go in and come out and go right back in. Frequent flyers in the hospitals and jails.

There is a huge amount of real estate and sales tax revenue that the city has - this is a priority.
It is not only the filth from human feces and stench from urine, but the moral decay as well. It is like Sodom & Gomorrah in Frisco where they actually have a statue honoring the pedophile Harvey Milk.
Even the poor environmental weenies cannot ride their bikes around town without fear of them being stolen. Frisco was #1 for bike theft, and is consistently in the top 5 every year.
The list of human degradation goes on & on, but in a liberal progressives mind, that is the way to live. Godless, lawless, high on dope and immoral.
It's a beautiful city and I totally get it's appeal, but it reminded me of NYC in the late 70's where you had to maintain situational awareness at all times when walking around NYC. Giuliani and Bratton totally rescued NYC and it may take something like in SF, but with the growing influence of the radical progressives it will never happen. They'll just keep taxing the middle class into leaving and eventually tourist dollars will dry up.
Great summary-the depths of despair NYC reached under Dinkins is what brought the residents to Rudy, Thank God, so he could rescue NYC from its lowest point ever.
