Sacha Baron Cohen is a genius in getting folks to reveal what they really believe, instead of saying what they feel is acceptable. This is going to be great car crash telly.
I am surprised no one is talking about this. Everyone from Sarah Palin, Sheriff Joe and even Roy Moore get punked by Sasha Baron Cohen. In fairness he does punk Bernie Sanders and this odd Art Gallery owner in California.
So has he crossed the line or do these people especially the politicians deserve what they got when the blabber on to a unvetted stranger?
I liked it. I am pro 2nd amendment but these politicians he got to do the most ridiculous things should have known better. And this video might be a career ender for some of them.
It exposes how crazy these gun nuts are to think that 4 year olds should be able to have access to guns.
You do have to have some respect for the SC Republicans that had dinner with Cohen (he pretending to be a super-liberal unlike any other)....
I mean - when he said his wife had an affair with a Dophin and the dude blinked, the wife said "don't be judgmental"....
Those people came out looking good - but I don't think the intent of that skit was to show Republicans in a bad light - it was to show that this "made up liberal" who teaches their daughter to pee standing up and has affairs with dolphins....does not exist!

I watched it and I not some nut job liberal. If someone makes a total fool of themselves and apparently cannot think on their feet whose fault is that? These people willingly said the most ridiculous stuff on camera and signed a release.
Cohen is best known as "Borat", and he is well known around the globe. Add to that the fact that he is all over the internet now demonstrating the complete idiocy of republican ammosexuals, and I'll bet he will pick up a lot of new fans with this show.
Here are a couple of other obscure sites where the story has been reported, and a link to Joe Walsh breaking his legs and weariung out his shoes trying to backpedal and distance himself from what he said on camera. His tweets alone are absolutely hilarious.
Walsh is an idiot. When I heard Joe Walsh got punked I thought they were talking about the musician. Never heard of him before this. Good thing he is out of congress. Who reads a teleprompter on camera without first proof reading it? Joe Walsh I suppose is the correct answer.
Maybe because most people probably have never head of him or some obscure site called Vulture very few people with common sense look at.

And Cohen did Borat that grossed $260m in the box office. He did two other films with his characters and had long running show in the U.K. He has been involved in dozens of films and TV shows. He is very well known person to say the least.
