Add Michael Cohen to the long list of republican politicians, republican talking heads, and former friends/associates of Trump's who are speaking out against what Trump said yesterday.

I think some are not capable of seeing what's going on right in front of them. Like he said he could walk down 5th Avenue... That's the pathetic part.

Me, too. It was something visceral that I can't describe.

It's something very bad, criminal, in fact, whatever it is.
Could be Trump is covering for one of his children, Eric Trump comes to mind.

The White House sent this document via e-mail late last night to many republicans in Congress, giving them talking points to defend Trump's actions in Helsinki in case any of them are asked about it in the halls or do any TV appearances:

And BTW, Trump loves this stuff.
They don't dare quote the back half of your post, with which I fully agree.

I will agree that many if not most fellow Republicans think Trump missed an opportunity to stick it to Putin and Russia.

I don't agree with that strategy at all.

I also agree with sticking it to the corrupt worthless pos garbage dangerous weaponized FBI, CIA, DOJ, etc.

That war will come to a head in the following days, weeks, months.

Do you recall another president ever supporting Putin or any other Russian President and taking them at their word.
Maybe Trump understands Russians better than anyone? They have always been a mystery how they think, what motivates them.

Vichy is simply a reference to the collaborationist French Nazi puppet government. He said nothing about violent overthrow. If anything, it's a call for greater public activism in the conventional sense. Old fashion "Vote the bums out".

Well the intelligence community tarnished their reputation by letting Hilary get away with a serious crime of having an illegal email server. Plus it's hard to view them as a neutral force working for the good of the people when they acted like Russian meddling in elections was no big deal under Obama adminstration, but now suddenly it's a major issue when Trump comes in power.

Someone would have to be blind not to see that the timing of this indictments of the Russians right before Trump meets with Putin was purposely done to make Trump fail. If Trump had blasted Putin over this issue, the headlines would be that Trump just dangerously pushed us towards WW3. I guess Trump should have listened to his advisors and called off the summit.
