Putin was asked if he had compromising information on Donald Trump, which he brushed off with the statement I quoted. It's been confirmed by Michael Issikof and David Corn in their book "Russian Roulette" that Trump made repeated requests to Putin's right hand man and press secretary Dimtry Peskov of his desire to meet and speak with Putin, but there was some kind of scheduling issue, but Putin would ultimately send Trump a black box with a sealed letter inside as an apology for not being able to meet with him. What the letter said no one but Trump knows.

Putin obviously lied when stated he didn't even know Trump was there, and this further raises questions as to what compromising information Putin has from Trump's repeated trips to Russia. This is definitely a national security risk.

I don't like Trump but this trivial minutia is silly. Makes you look very desperate.

Note how the responders are ignoring the content and instead attacking OP...

That is the tactic Russian trolls, Cult members and Republicans are using when faced with facts. They know they can't win any facts based debates so they attack and distract.

PUTIN was trying to protect Trump and he has been exposed. The Trump Putin relationship is one where Trump just does whatever helps Putin and Putin does whatever he feels like.

I choose none of the above.

There are real issues to discuss regarding Trump and that horrible news conference with Putin. Starting a thread saying Putin is a liar is like starting a thread that the sky is blue.

I agree with you ... I didn't buy that when I heard it.
