Collusion ISN'T a crime.

Sure, if you ignore the fact that he was Trump’s campaign manager, and was under investigation the entire time by the FBI for numerous illegal activities, including illegally acting as an un-registered foreign agent during the campaign and up to 2017.

Never said it was, I was responding to the prior statement, which also never questioned or mentioned “collusion is/isn’t a crime”.

Immediately? Maybe no direct link. May be just a place holder so he'll still be available for future efforts in other directions. By jailing Manafort, there is no danger he will disappear to a country with no extradition treaty while the investigation is pursued on a different tack.

Even if he is jailed, he can be pardoned for cooperating with a bigger investigation. If he doesnt roll in the next week or so, he may be more incented to be helpful once he arrives at Club Fed. Lotsa stuff going on we aren't proxy to, yet.

There. fixed it for you. I'm sure Paul would rather sit in his cell than mingle with Gen Pop. All it takes is one of them who doesn't like him to stop the whole thing permanently.

Trump was talking about running in 2013 on a trip to Moscow. I don't know whether Manafort was involved then. Do you?

And then there is that little bad habit of Putin poisoning people, and he might want to get rid of Manafort to keep him quiet. Manafort is much safer on ice.
