So, knowing how Trump is big about money and all, are you arguing that Trump is going to betray the United States for a country that economically powerless and largely insignificant on the world stage? Please explain.
Trump has personal interests with real estate developments in Russia, specifically Moscow, and a lot of connections with Russian oligarchy.

...I mean, it's pretty simple.

You're grasping at a straw that an Economist may care about. Not a self-interested corrupt politician...

What Trump did, was sickening. Make me sick to my stomach. Never thought I would see an American President stoop so low, or sell their country out so cheaply and easily. Disgusting. There is no excuse.
Siding Putin or Russia would do virtually nothing to this country. As many have pointed out, Russia is a fart in the wind, economically and militarily.

The Democrats and the fake news media are actively promoting the evil socialism, which will slaughter a large portion of the country and enslave everybody except for the Democrat elites.

There's a reason this country is not a democracy and has never been.

Democracy literally means mob rules.

I have to ask, when the media is focusing on creating news rather than in pursuit of the truth, how is that good for anybody but the Democrat elites they are trying to prop up?

You might find this interesting.

Putin's economy depends on higher crude oil prices. Are you paying more for gas now. It's gone up quite a bit by us.

We should also be concerned with how much money Trump has borrowed from Russia. It could be used as leverage against him. There is a reason he is hiding his tax returns.

We should also be concerned with Trump trying to get Putin into the the G7 without concession.

Trumps pro Putin comment in Helsinki was nothing less then a betrayal. Newt Gingrich one of Trump's biggest supporters said that "It was the biggest mistake of his Presidency."

Dan Coats Trump's appointee as the Director Of National Intelligence said " The red lights are blinking. The worst offenders are Russia, China, Iran, North Korea with Russia the most aggressive Foreign actor no question. And they continue efforts to undermine our democracy."
Coats goes on to say "What's serious about Russians is their intent. They have capabilities, but it's their intent to undermine our basic values, undermine democracy, create wedges between us and our allies." Source CNN politics. (And no it's not fake news. You can read about it on Huff Post, Fox40, Military.comnews and many others. )

One only has to watch what Trump does to so discord in our country and encouraging the divide between us and our allies. Yes Dan "red lights are flashing." Country first.

Trump's backtracking yesterday was one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard. It even tops Clinton's definition of what "is" is.

That's pretty pathetic for a "super power."

If true, then why all the expense, trouble and hype, most certainly including by Trump, to visit Russia/Putin at all? Just another "dog and pony show" for Trump to get media attention? The same media Trump and Trump supporters also always want to spin in whatever direction suits?

"Can't have it both ways" as some like to say. Seems Trump supporters want it all ways, but of course, then there's reality...

For you to better understand, my point anyway, you have to expand your bandwidth just a bit...

I'm not going to get into the definition of democracy as referenced by the author of that article I encourage you to read beyond just the first few words, but let's at least consider the definitions other than mob rules. Can we do that? For starters, how about just an effort to broker the interests of the populace in general by way of elected representatives?

If on the other hand, you don't know the difference between American efforts in this regard vs Russia for example, or North Korea's, then..., well maybe that's the problem, a problem anyway.

The quest for truth is never really well served by ruling out the voice that suggests other than what you want to hear...

Refreshing, though, that at least Trump demonstrated some reflection and ability to correct when normally he puts foot in mouth or steps in crap only to double down with still even more of the same. We may just be seeing the beginning for Trump of thinking before talking! Just the thinking part for starters would be good...

The Pee Pee Tape - Making Russia Great Again.

Stay Classy America - indeed you haven't been this classy since Slick Willy and his famous cigar.

I am just waiting for it all to come out and for the Trump broadcast to the nation that 'I did not have a wee on that bed'.
