those of us that go racing however will continue to stand for the anthem as we have always done. in fact race team owners have said that anyone on the team that does not stand for the anthem WILL BE TERMINATED, EVEN THE DRIVER, if necessary. hoepfully the NFL team owners will adopt the same stance.
Do they also shut down the concession stands? Close the Restrooms? Kick out any fans who don't stand with their hands over their hearts?

I like this solution. Keep the socialist dopes in the locker room out of sight during the anthem. I want to see the red, white, and blue at that point anyway. Not the pusillanimous misanthropic hulks who want to do their childish faux phony fake fraudulent "protest". Keep 'em in the locker room. I want to see throwing and tackling and running, not kindergarten-grade amateur hour political statements from people who are doing it for purposes of adolescent virtue-signaling.

I disagree. If football players will not stand during the National Anthem, then they need to be fired. Plain and simple.

Get new players and make it a point of their contract that they are required to stand during the National Anthem.

That was tried once, It didn't go over very well. I've said many times that solutions that do not work really are not solutions. You fire the first one and many others will protest. So, go for it. The NFL can go bankrupt for all I care but not because of the protests.

There are so many rules and policies that are associated with sports nothing specific like National Anthems are going to be specifically written into contracts. Contracts reference handbooks that specify rules and policies.

The NA anthem rule that was in place in the "Game Day Operations Manual" under the current CBA did not say players "must stand". The owners recently changed the rule on their own without negotiations with the "Players Assoc". or in reality the "Players Union". Under a CBA, policy changes should be made collectively, hence the reason why the NFLPA filed a grievance and the the rule has been put to a halt and will be changed once again.
