Good for Michelle. Voter registration is a good thing, no matter what Conservatives--who are in the minority in this country and know it--fear it. Perhaps we can register enough new voters to overcome Republican gerrymandering in some places.

Come on, Melania is fighting cyber bullying ! When was the last time you saw someone being a bully on the internet ? (except for this thread, of course)

Yes, how awful of her, to address the epidemic of childhood obesity. It would have been so much better if she simply told the world she didn't give a damn, like our current First Lady did.

Are you calling our First Lady a liar? She is the one who told the world she didn't care. And I believe her.

The Democrats have no control over the people the states register.

I can give a person a card, but my county and state are supposed to vet them before adding the name to the roll.

People who are so dense as to not understand the voter registration process should not be allowed to vote.

You need to take that up with your very own Secretary of State. That's who vets those registering to vote.

Michelle Obama is reportedly launching a new voter registration initiative ahead of this year's midterm elections.

According to Politico, the former first lady's initiative is scheduled to be launched on Thursday and will also involve several other high-profile names, including actor Tom Hanks, singer Janelle Monae, "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and singers Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

The initiative will also reportedly be strictly nonpartisan, to the frustration of some Democrats.

The group, which will be incorporated as a non-profit and be separate from the Obama Foundation, is planning to release its first public service announcement on Thursday.
