I’ve noticed President Trump constantly brings up “our two countries having 90% of nuclear weapons”, and that he’s the one stopping us from heading to war. While of course the nuclear threat is something we should all be concerned about, I don’t find his reasoning for constantly saying that to be genuine. Frankly, it seems he only says it to scare us into accepting dialogue between Putin and him. No one is saying don’t have diplomacy, but when you’re a subject of an investigation and increasingly appearing to be a Russian asset, we we need some reassurances before negotiating.
He doesn’t bring up nuclear weapons of any other country (outside of NK) for why we should negotiate, and even then he said “fire and fury.” So what is Trump’s reasoning for bringing Russian nukes up constantly?
