For the record to everyone-Mom wasn't arrested for nursing in a pool. Mom was arrested for defying the pool rules, and being disrespectful to other pool participants and employees.
Maybe even disrespecting law enforcement since she had the audacity to rebel against pool rules after a courtesy warning

OR...
They can *** all they want, but those who have common sense should stick to it and disregard those who don't.
Problem solved.
Yes, but no one should be sitting in a restaurant with their family and get accosted by someone with another opinion. It’s not your right to disrupt another person to voice your opinion. The nursing mom didn’t change her behavior, but she was embarrassed by the entire restaurant staring at her and the time she was spending with her family was ruined. Why some people think every thought/opinion they have must be immediately and loudly expressed is beyond me. It’s ridiculous and the height of hubris.
Nobody was this either until someone decided to start a thread.
That was my point. No one is in a snit about that.

Wrong, Son! South Carolina, like all the other states, has a law that women can bf in any public or private location. They also, like 29 other states, exemptexempt breastfeeding from public indecency laws. It's all upthread.
Society, has strange values these days a half naked woman with her breast hanging out is acceptable, but a woman doing something natural like breastfeeding is not.

For some that is likely true but there are no generalizations to make like what was made.
Better breast milk than pee, which is no doubt going in that pool daily.
If the baby cried and she didn't start nursing, her breast milk would probably have leaked into the pool anyway. Do you want to start banning lactating moms from pools?
It's what's going in the baby that's the concern, not what's going in the pool.
Breastfeeding in public is fine, but not in the pool for crying out loud.
Anyone showing their boobs in public should be truly ashamed
