The problem is that racism is still widespread...not with the people who allege that it us. And many on the right...especially the far right...almost never call racists out. In fact accusing others of "playing the cace" card seems to their automatic response to any allegation of racism.
That is because so often the allegations of racism ARE false. And that is not the fault of the right. Just take three examples from the Obama years: Skip Gates, Michael Brown (of Ferguson, MO), and George Zimmerman. In each case there was racism alleged, and at least implied by the Obama admin. In none of the three cases was there ever any evidence of racism as motivation.
Entire books have been written on false allegation of racism coming from the left. A good one is Enough by Juan Williams, a self-described liberal himself, but one who grew tired of all the race baiting.
Gotta wonder, are they just picking on members of certain "racial power" groups? I wonder if any officers have been caught wearing Black Lives tee shirts have been fired. The Klan with a Tan is as vile as any other.
McInnes describes the group as a "pro-Western fraternal organization" for men who "refuse to apologize for creating the modern world.
Quote:
According to their own publications, members of the Proud Boys are men who support the tenet that "the West is the Best," which the group defines with the term "Western chauvinism". The organization's website say it does not discriminate based on on race, sexual orientation, or sexual preference.[15]
The organization's website and McInnes have both said that the Proud Boys are not alt-right, with McInnes favoring the milder-sounding term alt-light.[16][17][11]
My mistake-a group that celebrates Western culture and that is open to all races. I guess we know why SPLC really considers them a hate group.

Government actors are putting sanctions for speech they disagrees with in violation of the 1st amendment.
