When you start a thread, include a link to what you're talking about so you don't waste everyone's time.

I didn't start the thread, but it would have taken you less time to search Google than it did for you to type out a response and wait for a reply. Maybe I read it wrong, but I also thought you may not have believed the OP.

Exactly. If Bush had withdrawn U.S. forces after his jaunty "Mission Accomplished" PR stunt on the aircraft carrier, there's at least a fair chance that Saddam would have emerged, gathered his forces and life would have returned to the way it was before.

If not Saddam, someone very much like him.

Besides, we had to find those WMDs. How could we leave a nation in chaos with mushroom cloud weapons?

You're crazy to think that'll be an easy invasion and that we'll be welcomed with opening arms. While the raid to kill bin Laden was a success, our oh so futuristic helicopter did its job but never came home to us in friendly Pakistan; you think it'll be easy to kill President Rouhani? Again, you're out of your mind.

The Iran Deal, which was working, wasn't supposed to be the end all, be all of relations with Iran but rather a pretext to continue working together -- the Dumbass-in-Chief President threw it all away. Who cares about billions of dollars when the sanctions could be snapped back in place if they violated the agreement? Those dollars you guys constantly grovel about are worthless if they cannot be used.

The fact of the matter is the US has a great military strength, but people love to live in some fantasy world that the US has God-like powers -- that isn't the case. We're in for a major strategic blunder AGAIN if we attack Iran rather that be with the boots on the ground or not. Russia, the Presidents best friend, has sold them S-300's and plus their military is powerful. This isn't Iraq nor Viet Nam, this is Iran. Stop being naive for one moment and just enjoy the fireworks of Fourth of July as opposed to watching people of either nation die.
Nailed it.

Anyone who thinks invading Iran is a good idea needs to look at a darn map.

Trump needs to create another problem to distract from the war he did start.

His Trade war (easy to win) turns out to be a cluster.

The UE numbers are changing direction, not a good sign.
