Actually, many Whites are moving back to Oakland. Whites were moving out of Oakland for a while. Blacks made up a majority in Oakland at one point. More Whites as well as other ethnicities, such as Asians and Hispanics, have been moving into Oakland. Black Americans have seen a massive drop in Oakland's population. As the cost of living has risen in other parts of the Bay Area, there have been Whites moving into Oakland. Gentrification has been taking place in Oakland. Rising rents, property taxes, etc. This is one reason many Blacks are leaving Oakland.
Currently, the mayor of Oakland is a White female.
Something else. Anyone in America can live where they want.
