We shall see. So far they agreed to stop imposing new tariffs, so they are basically trying to claw their way back to square-one, which is the pre-Trump economic environment.

EU will be very cautious with Trump knowing he has a history of dishonoring agreements with a snap of his fingers.

Trump has backed out of Tariffs with the EU.

As for China, we will have to wait and see.

If Trump had gone ahead with all the tariffs he was tweeting about, the US Consumer could have been looking at an estimated 20% increase in the prices of many goods, and such increases would hit Trump's voting base.

In terms of the EU, it's not ust about tariffs it's about heath standards in relation to hormone treated cattle, chlorine chicken, food additives and other such regulations which are not going to change.

As for the tariffs, the EU has an average duty of 3% on US Goods, whilst the US has an everage duty of 3.3% on EU Goods, so the US actually has the highter tariff but both tariff rates are very low already. Both sides could however lower duties paid on certain products, howver this is still not going to change the trading arrangement or trade surplus and deficit drastically.
