Better do your shopping now, before Trumponomics kick in more. It won't be pretty, and the farmer bail-outs is only the beginning. When prices rise so much so fast, people will simply stop buying, which is a disaster in a consumer based economy. Companies will start shutting doors.

Sharif called it a "substantial move" considering the most recent core CPI gain was 2.3 percent. Assuming the analysis is correct, that translates to a nearly 20 percent rise in prices for the wide-ranging basket of goods the index measures

Sharif predicted the tariffs likely would take effect in mid-October, based on the three-month lag it took the current $34 billion of tariffs to take effect from the time they were introduced.

So we pay more for goods plus pay money to farmers etc. for their losses due to tariffs. Double whammy.

Yes, and if the economists are right, this is just the beginning. Companies shutting doors, lay people off, and those people wont be able to pay their mortgages, they'll lose their houses etc. We have been here before, and it wasn't too long ago.

It will hit practically everything. Some items like meat might get temporarily cheaper, when producers try to get rid of the glut of produce no one wants.

Economists?

Didn't they ALL predict a stock market crash if Trump was elected?
(this included a certain Nobel Prize winning Economist too who gets paid by the NY times)

They are all shills for the MSM which pays their salary.

And you poor fellows keep believing them day after day.

The aid to farmers is a short term solution. This is going to get a lot worse.
