Federal judge allows emoluments case against Trump to proceed
Hmmmm..and then..out of left field..under the radar...comes this:
"A federal judge on Wednesday rejected President Trump’s latest effort to stop a lawsuit that alleges Trump is violating the Constitution by continuing to do business with foreign governments.
The ruling, from U.S. District Judge Peter J. Messitte in Greenbelt, Md., will allow the plaintiffs in the case — the attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia — to proceed with their case, which says Trump has violated the Constitution’s little-used emoluments clause.
The plaintiffs now want to interview Trump Organization employees and search company records to determine which foreign countries have spent money at Trump’s hotel in downtown Washington.
The Justice Department and Trump’s attorneys did not immediately respond to requests for comment. They could try to appeal the decision to a higher court and ask Messitte not to allow the attorneys general access to Trump Organization employees and books until the appeal is decided."

Those who support following the literal word of the Constitution, should be pleased. If Trump takes the stand to defend himself, he will look bad. He can't throw out his usual Twitter blather in a court of law. If he declines to testify, he will look bad and whatever evidence is presented against him, will look stronger. This must be quite a shock to him, as he thought he was protected by imperial immunity. He's never been in a predicament like this before, that he couldn't escape with legal maneuvering and giving payouts to people.

This one seems to be slipping by people..wonder why?
When Trump is revealed to be crooked, in a way that the cult can't put a spin on it, most of them are silent. The few who do state claims to the contrary, make fools of themselves. There's going to be a lot of that, in the near future.
We the American people have legal standing to sue the president. After all, the people have a very reasonable excpectation for a POTUS to understand & comply with the anti-corruption clauses (both foreign & domestic) in the Constitution.
All American Presidents have taken an oath to do so.
