Yeah its the law, but its wrong.
Protected class= a group granted special privileges in exchange for loyalty/votes
Would you be okay with the state telling you who you must admit into your home?
Would you be okay with the state telling you who you must work for?
Anyone who doesn't answer yes to both, is a hypocrite.

Every single person in the USA belongs to a protected class. How could it be a group granted special privileges if everyone - absolutely everyone - is within a protected class.

Who you let into your home vs. who you let into your business- your property, your rules
Who you agree to work for vs. which customers you choose to serve- your labor, your rules
