Wrong.

They report, you decide.

And once again, Trump's super-big mouth reveals yet more hypocrisy. He is such a buffoon.

"...Back in 2012, then-private citizen Donald Trump had some thoughts about President Barack Obama's much-ballyhooed claim to be the most transparent chief executive ever.

On October 30, 2012, Trump tweeted this:

What the problem with this?
That is even more disturbing than the story itself.

The fact that he's doing this is bad, but such a complete lack of concern about it is truly frightening. When any segment of the population is so easily lulled into a sense of complacency about what the government is doing, we are all in grave danger. I know that all politicians try to spin things in their favor, but Trump's repeated attempts to shut off the flow of information is beyond the pale.

Exactly this.

The liberal branch of the mainstream media: They distort so you can't decide.

In other words, all of this secrecy about what goes on between Trump and foreign leaders is designed to limit any form of accountability and set up a delusional narrative in which the president is “winning,” when he is doing nothing more than sustain the status quo, sometimes at substantial cost to the U.S.
Yet the base laps it up.

Do any of you actually know what these phone call readouts are???

They are theater of some sort to satisfy idiots like the BBC

Here is an example of a Readout of a call with PM May released by the Great Obama

The White House
Office of the Press Secretary
July 14, 2016

The President spoke by phone today with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May to congratulate her on her new office. President Obama emphasized that the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom remains strong and will endure and that he looks forward to building a close working relationship with Prime Minister May. The President also offered his full support for the Prime Minister’s efforts to lead the United Kingdom through a smooth, orderly, and transparent negotiation over its exit from the European Union.

I've read a ton of these and they are all exactly the same - a written summary by a staffer of some sort that likely has nothing to do with the phone call in question. It's a game they play and looks like President Trump doesn't want to play that stupid game.

Here is one from 2015 - Obama and President Hollande of France

My personal favorite was in 2016 when Obama spoke to 2 different Asian Leaders and released the same Readout for both calls.

Obama has same phone conversation with two different world leaders |USA Today - January 2016

WASHINGTON — President Obama had the exact same phone conversation with two different Asian allies Wednesday over North Korea's claims of a successful hydrogen bomb test.

At least, that's according to the White House accounts of the two conversations with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Park Geun-Hye.

When the President of the United States phones another world leader, the White House releases a summary of the call — known as a "readout" — to the media. And for the phone calls with Abe and Park, the White House nearly released identical readouts, with only the names of the countries changed.

In both calls, Obama "condemned the test" and "reaffirmed the unshakeable U.S. commitment to the security of Japan (or South Korea)." In both calls, the leaders "agreed to work together to forge a united and strong international response." And in both calls, Obama congratulated the two countries for their recent resolution of the World War II-era "comfort women" issue.

The readouts are always crafted in vague diplomatic language, and often leave out a lot of revealing detail: The exact time and length of the call, who initiated it, and especially any indication of the tone.

Notice all that "reaffirm" in all calls and a lot of "unshakeable" thrown in for good measure.

This Tweet about the article is eye openning:

No White House logs. No readouts of calls w/foreign leaders. 2 hours w/Putin w/no one else present. No press conferences. Two days a week at his private club. No tax returns. Close family members as senior advisers. Trump has successfully privatized the Presidency.
Other than pics of bowing to other leaders, did we ever hear about anything obuma did?

Oh wait. he didn't do anything.

Sorry

What’s next Russian troops setting up military bases here? We’re on a slippery slope with this so called President. Is this a bad dream? I’m not normally worked up about things but this gets creepier and more ominous everyday.

Can Republicans still lose their minds?

Collectively, they did that quite a while ago.

If they haven’t lost their mind, are they still Republicans?
