Then as a Lib you should want to shut down the Border and stop importing all this cheap labor.

The government needs funding, hence why we need taxes. Cutting taxes and not cutting spending is kind of pointless. I'm still waiting for the wage growth promised by the trickle down effect. Companies are taxed on profits, not on the cost of doing business. They were earning a profit when the rate was 35%. They are simply earning a bigger profit at 21%. Where's all that money going? Not to the middle-class. And if it was going to the shareholders, the markets should be absolutely booming. Instead, it took a dip right after the tax cuts went into law and still hasn't recovered.

I'm not really sure how I'm benefiting from this. Just because Trump says I will benefit won't even buy me a pack of chewing gum. As of right now, I'm probably getting a little more in my paycheck but will likely get a little less in my tax return, but it will still probably be a little more overall.

Super.

But why am I getting "so little" when corporations are getting "so much?" They were turning record profits already. And that wasn't enough to increase wages. Check wage growth in this country, it is terrible. And before people say "invest in your 401k" - I already do that. And it was doing great from 2010 until Jan 2018. But there are lots of people out there that can't invest in a 401k. A wage increase for them means they go from eating Ramen every day to maybe actual food. 401k investments are not realizable for them yet.

They think it’s an insult. Talk radio and Fox News conditioned them to use this word when debating Democratic supporters.

Not true at all. Lib is nothing more than an abbreviation for liberal. There's nothing derogatory about it unless you think being called a liberal is derogatory and many people do.

Of course, because saying Liberal is too much effort.

It’s actually a psychological technique the right-wing media uses on you to make your opposition feel small. “Dems” is another term too.
