As Republicans loudly celebrate the soaring economy, the middle class looks at their paychecks and wonder, "Why is so little of it trickling down to me?"

Well a few things

1. Individual tax receipts have been growing since 2009 but went down in the first quarter of this year compared to last quarter of 2017.
2. Yes corporate profits are very high since they dropped the tax rate from 35% to 21%, go figure.
3.The tax deficit they created is growing faster than expected, even the Trump administration agrees.

Tax payments by corporations fell from January to June of this year compared to last, to be expected I guess to be expected with the cuts. But the cuts are not paying for themselves as Kudlow promised, not even close, around 10% off.

The thing you people are missing is that we are increasing the deficit in a very health economy, that should send up a red flag but people seem think it doesn't matter.

The current spending bill expires in September and they will need to reconcile the loss of tax revenue along with the payments to cover the problems with tariffs. It will put conservatives in an awkward position.

These things take time. We live in such an instant gratification society that we have lost our patience.

The economy grows slowly.
The new tariffs on trade will eventually level off and become fair and equitable for the US but it takes time.

The middle class I know are working their azz off with all the additional work, overtime, bonus's and being recruited by companies at higher pay due to labor shortage.

CA must have a sucky economy with all those high taxes and outrageous Cost of Living and house prices. Can't blame Trump on that one.
Middle class in TX are doing so much better than they did during the Obama years.

My 401K is now an 801K.

“Labor shortage.” Ha!

The labor market is global, and there are billions of people overseas who would gladly do your job (and mine) for a tenth of the pay.

Really? I'm quite middle class and so is everyone I work with and know. I haven't seen any of my co-workers and friends complain about their paychecks lately even here in liberal CA.
Oh, I'm sure there are people like yourself that will complain about anything though just at an attempt to make the economy look bad which everyone knows isn't the case.
