Don't forget that not only did Trump lose the popular vote, but democrats actually gained some seats in congress. So it wasn't this flat-out rejection of Obama and his results.

His comment that I was replying to wasn't specific to July data.

I meant "unusually" active.

I think the latest tactic is say that the GOP is afraid of such-and-such when it is noted that they messed up or said something stupid.

They're trying stuff to see what works...

well.... if those jobs can be done cheaper elsewhere....
because we created artificial blockades to manufacturing due to unnecessarily burdensome regulations...or because those other countries have tariffs blocking our goods while we allow them unfettered access to our markets... or they have NO decent regulations....

all of those are things that can and should be dealt with here to bring those jobs back. THAT is what Trump is doing.

that's your answer?

dude this thread is about what is happening economically NOW. you point to data that is 6 months old to disprove todays data.

don't show up here and think people will take you seriously if that's what you offer in terms of rebuttal.

clearly you are cheering against America. You are what you are.

If the playing field is equal with other countries - then fine.

Fix the trade issue... after that if employing our own people is still too expensive, then we need to start shaving expensive regulations.

...
This was his OP. Tell me where he specifically mentions July data?

In fact, he showed a video that was two years old, so if you want to accuse anyone of bringing up old news, accuse the OP, not me.

You hear what Obama says, and where we are today - and you can see how more more effective Trump has been.

Here are the cliff notes of the whole clip...

Union member asks what are we going to do - our jobs are leaving?

Obama answers - I've created the most manufacturing jobs since the 90s. Some jobs are going overseas because their environmental standards are lower (implying less regulations, less cost). Automation is happening. We will provide training for new jobs. Old jobs aren't coming back. Grow clean energy and new technology.

What Trump did - he has got people working again. He is making deals to help American workers. He is waving his magic wand. Result - unemployment down, people re-entering job force, GDP is up.
