Only a real jerk would begrudge a state getting federal aid to help it out during a tragedy such as fire or weather related.
It wouldn't be the first time. Remember when Texas Republicans in Congress voted to withhold aid to New York and New Jersey following Hurricane Sandy, and then went begging for aid following Hurricane Harvey and saw no hypocrisy in that?

But when the next disaster hits a red state, the OP will be demanding support, again without a shred of a sense of the hypocrite he is. It's what they do.

Exactly. Hypocrisy is the bedrock of the far-right. Double-standards, "religious" people who hate everyone but who support an irreligious toolbag like Trump, "patriots" who hate everything this nation represents but who are okay with Putin-Puppet in the White House, and on and on it goes.
