BTW, the Russians are really bad at this. If they really wanted to influence our elections, they should consult with our CIA since they have been meddling in foreign elections quite successfully for decades.

It's NOT the amount of money spend, it's the level of participation. Reddit alone found hundreds of Russian trolls on their site. Those hundreds of trolls made hundreds of thousands of posts and effective hijacked the forum's narrative.
The video cited a Satan arm wrestling Jesus pic with less than 100 views. But what you guys don't know is that the pic is shared across sites like Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, etc; and it easily generated thousands of views on those platforms.
Looking at the original source is a misdirection. It's meant to fool people like the OP into thinking it got very few views. When it's the sharing on social media platform that was the big money maker, so to speak.
