Trump Anxiety Disorder: Therapists say patients are experiencing more Trump-related anxiety

Quote:
Therapists across the United States say that ever since president Donald Trump took office patients have been experiencing more anxiety - and it's affecting both Trump critics and supporters.

Several therapists spoke to Canada's CBC News saying that many of their patients have a fear about the country's future and if Trump will 'blow us all up.'

'There is a fear of the world ending,' DC therapist Elisabeth LaMotte said. 'It's very disorienting and constantly unsettling.'

LaMotte said there is a 'collective anxiety' about how Trump's decisions could affect everyone. Patients and therapists refer to it as 'Trump Anxiety Disorder', although it is not an official diagnosis.

She said the 'disorder' has been on the rise since the 2016 election, and mimics patients who have been raised by a parent with a personality disorder. LaMotte said those patients typically display traits such as 'grandiosity, excessive attention-seeking and severe lack of empathy.'
'Whether it's conscious or not, I think we look to the president of the United States as a psychological parent,' she said.
LOL

We look at our POTUS as a “psychological parent”??!! What utter horsesh*t.

If people are suffering from Trump anxiety it’s most likely because they have ceased living their daily lives in favor of seeking outrage to feed their addiction.

There’s a fairly simple Rx for this: turn off your tv, shut off your computer, and go do something enjoyable and productive with your friends and family. You’ll soon rediscover the wonderful world around you, and your anxiety will decrease dramatically. Problem>solution.

I like Trump and I plan on voting for him again in 2020 and I have anxiety.

I am very nervous about the approaching storm that is going to hit America when the Dems take over.

Trump and the GOP have enough problems but the Dems and their ridiculous ideas and the violence we see from them when they don't get their way are downright dangerous.

There are so many Dems that believe everything they see from the negative propaganda machines from the Lefty media. These people have become brainwashed to the point that they are entering restaurants and going to peoples houses to cause a scene and somehow shame them for having anything to do with Trump
These people have an extreme hatred of Trump and in some ways America and that is scary if they carry that ire into the WH.

This is exactly what they want, to bully Americans into being afraid to vote for Trump. This in their campaign strategy.
Americans have had to fight to be free from the beginning of our existence. We have been threatened, attacked, killed and maligned. Nothing stopped us from getting to this point.

While we may have had deterrents along the way, huge battles, we are now where many Americans, conservative and liberal, did not believe we would be. It does take courage and perseverance but hey, we're Americans!

Ironically, Trump is suffering from crushing anxiety. It is why he is flailing at ghosts.

Meanwhile, we non-voters and non-participators are smugly lying back with cold drinks laughing at both sides.
