It's so damn obvious that a dead squirrel could dig up that nut. We'll see if Mueller is a dead squirrel or not.
Tad Devine? He's scheduled to testify against Manafort. Quite possibly there was a deal made and an exchange made.

I read that he was the first witness yesterday.

Wonder why someone involved with Manafort was working on Bernie's team.

Mueller's STAR witness, vanished.
Mueller’s Star Witness Against Manafort Vanishes; Judge Ellis Snaps After Feds Admit They Want to Hide Rick Gates During Trial

Judge Ellis interrupted the testimony, to say the agent’s testimony is unnecessary because Mr. Gates will testify.
On Tuesday, Mr. Manafort’s attorneys accused Mr. Gates of being the mastermind behind the crimes lodged against their client.

He didn't "vanish", jesus christ.

He may testify, he may not.

The interesting bit from some of the witnesses is the invoices they don't recognize that have misspelled company names. I suspect thats going to show up as being important later.

But he's being charged with crimes that have nothing to do with President Trump or Russia, crimes that go back to 2005. These crimes do not warrant what's been done to him, and they do not warrant life in prison. But that's our corrupt justice system, and Andrew Weissmann epitomizes that system, with a record of withholding exculpatory evidence and a history of being overturned by the Supreme Court 9-0, but not before destroying people's lives (Arthur Anderson case).
Sidney Powell, a federal prosecutor who is past president of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, wrote an opinion piece in the Hill that said, in part, that Weissmann “is not just a ‘tough’ prosecutor. Time after time, courts have reversed Weissmann’s most touted ‘victories’ for his tactics. This is hardly the stuff of a hero in the law. Weissmann, as deputy and later director of the Enron Task Force, destroyed the venerable accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP and its 85,000 jobs worldwide — only to be reversed several years later by a unanimous Supreme Court.”
Prosecutor's today tried to smear Manafort because he's rich, but Judge Sullivan excoriated him and told the jury, "It's not a crime to have a lot of money."

Contrast this with Hillary Clinton, who's crimes are far more serious, yet she has never even been charged. Manafort was targeted purely because of his association with Donald Trump.
You haven’t heard the testimony from the Chicago banks that gave Manafort large sums of money for some unknown reason in 2016, you haven’t heard from Gates or anyone else. It’s not a crime to be rich but sometimes how you got it is an issue as was the case for Enron. What was Manaforts talent that was deserving of millions of dollars, we already saw how that law firm had its fingers in regime change in Ukraine.

The trial should be completed next week, hang onto that thought we are one day past opening arguments.
