Just read several different news accounts about trial events today. Testimony and evidence was presented about fake loans, undisclosed foreign accounts, and various illegal tax dodges.
No mention of Judge Ellis being disgusted.
Earlier in the week when the prosecutors were presenting evidence that Manafort was paying for expensive items with money drawn on foreign accounts (later revealed to be hidden from tax accountants), Judge Ellis told them to hurry it along was it not illegal to buy expensive things.
Perhaps Mad Jasper and BB are thinking of that.

Ultimately, when the “not guilty” verdict rolls in, BB and Mad Jasper will be vindicated and we will have to admit that they were right on the money. I will admit that I was wrong, recognize Manafort’s innocence of these charges, and give credit to those posters in the know.
Of course, if the “guilty” verdict comes in, I assume the converse will be true...
We know Rod Rosenstein of the FBI investigated Manafort back in 2014 & cleared him of any wrongdoing on these same charges.
Manafort intends to call RR as his first witness. How will RR explain diving into his finances, banking, lobbying, ties to Ukraine & finding nothing to prosecute him on?
The Defense, also alleges that Manafort told the FBI & DOJ attorneys all about his Cyprus bank accounts, his finances, etc.
IF, and it's just an assertion at this point, but IF it's proven, then the FBI didn't charge him with tax evasion, bank fraud or FARA violations. They didn't even tell him to file with FARA and they trusted him enough to use him as an undercover informant.
"We know Rod Rosenstein of the FBI investigated Manafort back in 2014 & cleared him of any wrongdoing on these same charges. "
If he was being charged with the SAME charges, wouldn't that be double jeopardy?
I posted about tax cheat Timmy Geithner, the man who was STILL Treasury Secretary AFTER it was disclosed that he did the exact same thing Manafort did. If Timmy wasn't prosecuted and punished, why is Manafort being prosecuted?

Was Geithner using offshore banks, like the one in Cyprus, to stash his loot to avoid paying taxes? Did he lie on his tax forms about receiving income for outside the U.S.?
