He still has state charges to face. Paul isn't going anywhere, except maybe to a different prison.

If he is pardoned by Trump, that will free him to testify fully about everything he knows about the Trump Organization, since he will have already pleaded guilty by default if he accepts the pardon. That means he will not be able to invoke the Fifth Amendment, and will face jail time for Contempt of Court if he doesn't cooperate.

If you have ever watched how they get to the top guy in any mob, it is by nibbling away at the little guys below, and one by one, they all save their own butts by ratting on the boss. All of them, Manafort, Gates, Cohen, etc know Trump has no loyalty to any of them and would run them over with the bus to save his orange skin...…….so they will return the favor in spades.
Yes, but for now this trial is about fraud....nothing to do with Mueller's case. And Manafort won't sing. He will go to jail expecting trump to pardon him.

Nope, Manafort is saving that ace in the hole. He is going to wait until he is finally found guilty and then try to make his deal. Why would he do it now, when he thinks he will either be found innocent, or his buddy will pardon him ?

His attorneys are telling him to keep that bargaining chip for when it is really needed.

Mueller's team has three dozen witnesses lined up. If the past five days have been any indication, by the time they all get through testifying, there may not be much of a bargaining chip left unless he can definitively put Donnie Divot in an orange jumpsuit.

Rick Gates, the key prosecution witness in the tax and fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, testified Monday he had committed crimes alongside and at the direction of his former partner -- and had also stolen from Manafort himself.

In stunning testimony, Gates stated he and Manafort had 15 foreign accounts they did not report to the federal government, and knew it was illegal. Gates said he did not submit the required forms "at Mr. Manafort's direction."
Gates then admitted that he also turned the tables on Manafort -- cheating him out of "several hundred thousand" dollars by submitting false expense reports that were paid out of some of the undisclosed foreign bank accounts in Cyprus.

Doesn't the fact that Gates was cheating on Manafort just show the innate sleeze of these people---
Gates problem I guess was that he thought small--
He was afraid to bite off too much and really threaten his relationship w/Manafort
After all his 100Ks were small change when Manafort was taking 12million from Derapaska and other millions in other scams...

Plus Gates was still working for the campaign after Manafort left, and he was involved in WH activity even after Trump took office

Gates and Manafort knew what George P were doing in getting a meeting with various Russians/Russian trolls
There is still more ground to dig out and uncover possible relationships w/Russians and Trump people

The crux is how well can it be proven that Trump himself knew and authorized it as part of the Trump Tower deal w/the Russians...

And that Twitter post is difficult to read...not your fault but usually they come through w/o being scrunched...

Konstantin Kalimnick has been charged by Mueller hasn't he?

Think Putin will allow him to be extradited from Russia for prosecution???
