Sorry, but the author thinks like some kind of Bircher who believes the almost-Apocalypse happened in 1964, and wishes America was the way it was when Ike was in office, and thinks the 1945-1964 period was as happy and joyous and innocent as some MGM musical from that era, interspersed by intermissions of "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy" besides.
