Amazing what a 112B market value loss does for 'religious zeal'. The young, undoubtably smart, incredibly lucky Mr Zuckerburg had the smug smirk wiped off his face. Now, Facebook says, "You can book it, we really care about out corporate responsibilities to society and our valued customers.

Really, really care. Really. Trust us.

What these trolls say is nonsense, but it seems to be effective on the deplorable's.
I swayed the election and then joined city-data.com February 2017

The Left is playing right into the Russians scheme yet they are the ones that denounce the collusion?

Go figure.
This is America! The media is suppose to hold politicians accountable. If you want them to praise rulers, move to N. Korea or Russia.

Well, Hillary's comment - much like Romney's 47% comment wasn't really designed to 'inflame' because apparently neither thought those comments would get out.
I dont do politics on FB. Its for hobbies and keeping up with family and friends for me.

Probably not many. Not big enough.

It takes a whole new level of gullible idiot to let Facebook ads tell you what to think. There's a lot better funded organizations than the Russians who were doing a lot more of this than the Russians. Are we going to talk about them too? The DNC and RNC have used deceptive ads and tactics for well over 100 years and both did a lot more of it in the 2016 election than the Russians. That's a huge part of why Russia trying their hand at it was probably just a big fat waste of money on their part. Americans are used seeing propaganda for what it is, and they don't tend to change their entire political ideology on the tiniest whim.
Uh.........

Many of the "memes" promoted by the Russians since 2016 have been picked up by the Right and used to pillory the left....I've seen it right here on C-D.

Whatever you want to say, there is a difference...the "uneducated" that Trump loves (he didn't say this for no reason) and the "forgotten man" (coal miner, no college, etc.) believes a LOT of what they read - especially when it is parroted on the vast Right Wing Echo Chambers (BB, DC, Drudge, etc.)....

Remember millions of Trumpies saying that every Leftie protestor was paid off by Soros? Many other similar events occurred. Look at the names of some of these pages...they are designed mostly to stir up Righties to action. To mislead them and make them think Antifa or Black Folks are gonna "come get them".

Since the right operate on Fear and Black/White views of the world, this stuff works.

It would be crazy to think the Russian Government would do all of this....if it didn't work. But it goes. Good for you if the people you know wouldn't be fooled...but that is a rarity.

We're not just taking Facebook pages. We are talking hundreds of embedded spies and operatives in the USA (like the recent one caught pushing the NRA) who influence many though everything from social media to direct contact. It is a very large coordinated effort.

Since many elections are won by tiny margins, it matters...

People seem to forget what the "bad" part of this is - that is a Foreign government, the only one in the world with 10,000 nukes and that has expressly stated that they are at war with the "Western Way" (liberalism).....is responsible.

If Trump wants to raise money and have American operatives doing all kinds of legal stuff.....be my guest! But Putin? No thanks.

Yeah, 2 dozen Russians lol.

We have at least 2 dozen right wing and another 2 dozen left wingers on this forum that are absolutely insane and post partisan garbage constantly.

I kinda think that "the Russians" are a drop in the bucket compared to our own in-house crazies.
