Wages, benefits rise at fastest pace since 2008 - Chicago Tribune

Pretty much as predicted to happen as part of the Trump tax reform. How will the Leftists attack this good news?

They will bury it and pretend it isn't happening.

Maybe their new millenial rep from NY will come out and say wages are rising too fast and that's a problem.

But I thought paying higher wages is going to ruin businesses, you know, like increasing the minimum wage to $15/hr.

How will they attack this good news?
Easy. They will claim Trump got taken in North Korea. They will claim he colluded with Russia and stole the election. They will claim he is mentally ill. They will note that his skin is orange. They will note The Wall has not been built. They will say he lies. They will say he has cheated on his wife. And they will give credit to Obama.
There. All done.

The cited article states "Pay and benefits for all U.S. workers increased 2.8 percent in the April-June quarter from a year earlier" which certainly seems like an average. Let's see the average for the everyday working man/woman without CEO salaries and benefits tipping the average upward.

I guess you guys are just gonna ignore this part of the link:

Quote:
Even the relatively solid gains aren't enough to keep up with slightly higher inflation, which rose 2.9 percent in the 12 months ending in June. That means after inflation, wages and salaries for private sector workers was flat.

When you are older and can address issues like operating expenses and return on investment you should speak up.

This is hilarious. Wages and benefits have been depressed so long that any tiny spike looks like a gift. But these conservatives know better. The guys at the top tossed out a few bread crumbs to make it look good, but that’s over. They’re now stuffing all the gains in their pockets once again.

And these Trumpers will believe anything.

Clearly you don't know anything. It is one thing when the free market dictates wages and salary versus being forced to by a law.

When companies are allowed to control their wages, there is no problem.

When government mandates wages without regards to the economic circumstances within a company - then it ruins businesses.
